Nagaon: A crucial meeting was held today here to review the security arrangements for the upcoming Assam Assembly Elections, scheduled to take place on April 9. The meeting, chaired by District Election Officer Devashish Sarma, was attended by senior officials from various security forces, including the Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and Border Security Force.
The meeting discussed various aspects of security arrangements, with a focus on ensuring a smooth and peaceful polling process. The District Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police also undertook a roadshow in the Samaguri constituency to assess the security situation and boost confidence among the public.
