12 Held for Curfew Violations in Manipur’s Thoubal, Assigned Community Service

Imphal, April 24: Manipur Police arrested 12 individuals in Thoubal district for violating curfew restrictions and disrupting public order, officials said.

Authorities stated that the individuals were found engaged in activities that affected peace and stability in the area, prompting immediate action by law enforcement.

Following their detention, a magistrate directed the offenders to undertake one week of community service as a penalty, in line with provisions governing breaches of curfew and public safety regulations.

The violators have been assigned cleaning duties at the Khongjom War Memorial, where a state function had been held earlier in the day.

Police said the move is part of ongoing efforts to enforce compliance with prohibitory orders and maintain law and order in the district. Authorities have reiterated that strict action will continue against those found violating curfew restrictions.
