17-Year-Old Boy Run Over by Train in Dhubri’s Chapar, Critically Injured

Dhubri: In a tragic incident, a 17-year-old boy was run over by a train in the Chapar area of Dhubri district, leaving both his legs severely crushed.

The victim has been identified as Sahidul Islam, son of Churman Ali, a resident of Kurshakati under the Chapar area. According to reports, the accident occurred when Sahidul was walking along the railway track near Nathpara in Bohalpur, where a goods train heading from Chapar towards Guwahati struck him.

Locals, upon witnessing the horrifying scene, rushed to the spot and rescued the injured youth. He was immediately taken to Bongaigaon Civil Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The incident has cast a pall of grief across the Chapar area, with residents expressing deep sorrow over the tragic mishap. Many have called for increased safety measures and public awareness to prevent such accidents along railway tracks in the region.
