At least 29 workers of Domordolong Tea Estate were injured after a vehicle overturned at Jutliting in the estate, near Moran, early on November 1.
The vehicle, bearing registration number AS 33 C 2864, reportedly lost control and overturned at around 6.35 am.
The injured workers were first taken to the estate hospital for initial treatment before being shifted to Tiloi Community Health Centre in Moran in four ambulances. The vehicles included one from the 108 emergency service, one belonging to the tea estate and two private ambulances.
The accident occurred under the jurisdiction of Sepon Police Outpost, which falls under Moranhat Police Station. Although the incident caused concern locally, the situation at the site was later reported to be normal.
