6th Season of Brahmaputra Volleyball League to Kick Off at Chaygaon on Nov. 2

Guwahati: The sixth season of the Brahmaputra Volleyball League (BVL) is set to begin on November 2 at Amtala village in Chaygaon, Kamrup district, marking another milestone in Assam’s grassroots sports movement.

International volleyball player Karthik M will grace the opening ceremony as the chief guest, while Sandeep Kumar, Chief Operating Officer of ONGC Foundation, will attend as the guest of honour.

The Brahmaputra Volleyball League, a community-driven initiative that began in 2019, aims to nurture young volleyball talent from rural Assam and promote the sport as a means of social empowerment and youth development. Each year, the league witnesses enthusiastic participation from boys’ and girls’ teams across the state, reflecting the growing popularity of volleyball in the region.
