Final Electoral Roll for Dhubri Released Ahead of 2026 Assam Assembly Polls

Guwahati, Feb 10: The final electoral roll for Dhubri district was released on February 10 following the completion of the Special Amendment process, marking a key step in preparations for the 2026 Assam Legislative Assembly elections.

The roll was unveiled at a meeting held at the office of the Dhubri District Commissioner in the presence of District Commissioner Nabadeep Pathak, Additional Commissioner Debajyoti Gogoi, Additional Superintendent of Police Deepjyoti Talukdar, representatives of recognised political parties and media persons.

Officials said the total number of registered voters in the district now stood at 12,17,797. The figures reflected an intensive Special Revision exercise involving door-to-door verification by Booth Level Officers to remove duplicate and ineligible entries and include all eligible voters who attained the age of 18 on or before January 1, 2026.

Constituency-wise data showed Golakganj (No. 6) with 2,03,876 voters, Gauripur (No. 7) with 3,10,594, Dhubri (No. 8) with 2,31,136, Birsingh Jarua (No. 9) with 2,80,461 and Bilasipara (No. 10) with 1,91,730 electors.

Addressing the meeting, the district commissioner said the revision was conducted with a high degree of accuracy and transparency in coordination with political parties to ensure inclusion of all eligible voters while maintaining the integrity of the electoral roll.

With the publication of the final roll, the district has moved into the next phase of election preparedness. Copies have been provided to political parties, and voters have been urged to verify their details at polling stations or through the Election Commission’s official portal.
