Biswanath Chariali: In connection with the Seva Saptah observance, a district level launch of the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp and Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan was successfully conducted at Monabari Tea Estate Hospital on Wednesday. The event witnessed the presence of MP Tezpur HPC Ranjit Dutta, Biswanath MLA Promod Borthakur, Behali MLA Diganta Ghatowal, District Commissioner Simanta Kumar Das, ACS, ADC Rakesh Deka, Joint Director of Health Services, Biswanath Jogen Ch Bey, officials and staff from health departments, Zila Parishads, students, police, blood donors and local residents of the Monabari Tea Garden.

In the meeting MP Ranjit Dutta, while addressing the gathering, extended warm birthday wishes to Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi and acknowledged the transformative developments witnessed in the health and education sectors since 2014 under his leadership.
Biswanath MLA Promod Borthakur during his address highlighted the significance of blood donation and announced that more blood donation camps would be organized in the district after Durga Puja.
MLA Diganta Ghatowal himself came forward to voluntarily donate blood, setting an inspiring example for the attendees and reinforcing the importance of community participation in such initiatives.

The event successfully collected a total of 44 units of blood. Additionally, health screening and awareness activities were carried out under the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, focusing on women’s health and family welfare. It is pertinent to mention here that the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan activities shall continue till October 2, informed a source.
