Guwahati, Sep 20: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday stated that a thorough and proper investigation will be done regarding Zubeen Garg’s unfortunate and untimely demise.
The CM stated that, “Multiple FIR’s that have been filed across the State in connection with the untimely demise of Assam’s cultural icon and youth heart throb Zubeen Garg will be consolidated and investigated thoroughly by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Multiple FIR’s across the state have been filed against the organizer of The North East India Festival, Shyamkanu Mahanta and Zubeen Garg’s manager Sidharth Sarma”.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), CM Sarma said, “Multiple FIRs have been filed against Syamkanu Mahanta and Sidharth Sarma in connection with the unfortunate and untimely demise of our beloved Zubeen Garg. I have directed the @DGPAssamPolice to transfer all the FIR’s to the CID and to register a consolidated case for a thorough investigation”.
