Governor K T Parnaik Attends Murti Pran Pratishtha Ceremony in Itanagar

Itanagar, Feb 25: K. T. Parnaik participated in the Murti Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav at the Shree Ram Darbar and Nav Durga Murti Sthapana ceremony in Itanagar on February 24, highlighting the relevance of Sanatan values in promoting social harmony and cultural identity.

The consecration ceremony was held at the Shree Shree Ganga Yurchum Gurupath Shiv Mandir at 6 Kilo Point and was organised by the Gangda Yurchum Trust. The Governor, accompanied by the First Lady Anagha Parnaik, offered prayers and took part in the rituals marking the installation of the deities.

He commended the organisers and priests from Vrindavan for their efforts in establishing what he described as a sacred seat of divinity at the Ram Darbar and Shiv Mandir complex. He termed the ceremony a historic and spiritually significant occasion that strengthened the spiritual fabric of society and created a legacy for future generations.

Parnaik said the temple complex would enrich the cultural heritage of Sanatan Sanskriti in the region and emphasised that Sanatan values serve as a guide for ethical living, social harmony and balanced human relationships beyond religious observance.

He expressed confidence that the temple could evolve into a revered spiritual centre and emerge as a Dham, attracting pilgrims from across the country. Drawing parallels between Sanatan Dharma and the indigenous faith traditions of Arunachal Pradesh, he highlighted their shared reverence for nature and harmony, adding that such inclusive principles reinforced the state’s tradition of unity in diversity.
