Ambuja Neotia to Develop ₹700-Cr Hospital, Hotel Project in Guwahati

Guwahati: The Ambuja Neotia Group will develop an integrated healthcare and hospitality project in Guwahati after receiving approval from the Assam government for its investment proposal. The project, estimated to cost over ₹700 crore, will feature a 300-bed multi-speciality hospital along with a premium 4+ star hotel. The development will be built on a 2.88-acre mixed-use land parcel at Fancy Bazar on Old Jail Road.

Out of the total land, around 1.46 acres will be used for the hospital, which will be developed by Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Limited with an estimated investment of ₹360–400 crore. The proposed hospital will offer multi-speciality services including cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, oncology and critical care, aiming to strengthen tertiary healthcare facilities in Assam and the wider Northeast region. The remaining 1.42 acres will house a premium 4+ star hotel to be developed by Ambuja Neotia Hotel Venture Limited with an investment of about ₹350 crore. The hotel will include modern guest rooms, banquet and meeting facilities, and multiple dining options.

The project is also expected to create significant employment opportunities. The hospital alone is projected to generate around 1,500 to 2,000 direct jobs, along with additional indirect employment through allied services and local businesses. This will be the group’s second healthcare initiative in Assam after the launch of the Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Childcare Centre in 2025. Parthiv Neotia, Joint Managing Director of the Ambuja Neotia Group, said the integrated project aims to enhance healthcare access while strengthening Guwahati’s role as a major healthcare, business and travel hub in the Northeast.
