In the afternoon, a moving street play was staged at Pach Mori in the Majmajia area, organized by the socio-cultural body Krishti. The play, along with live performances of Zubeen’s evergreen songs, captured the journey of his life, his struggles, and his immense contribution to Assamese music and culture. Artists and performers described him not just as a musician, but as a voice that continues to inspire generations.
The tribute extended beyond the stage. In a collective appeal, organizers urged every Puja pandal in Dhubri to pay homage to the beloved singer by playing his songs instead of DJs during the festive celebrations. Many pandals responded, filling the air with Zubeen’s soulful melodies, turning the town into a living memorial of his enduring legacy.
