Agartala, March 25: The Tripura Police has entered into a formal partnership with Rashtriya Raksha University through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing training and research capabilities, officials confirmed on March 25.
Director General of Police Anurag signed the agreement virtually with RRU Pro Vice Chancellor Kalpesh H. Wandra, marking the beginning of a structured collaboration between the state police force and the academic institution.
Under the terms of the agreement, the university will extend academic accreditation to various training programmes conducted by Tripura Police. It will also certify courses that meet mutually agreed standards, ensuring formal recognition of specialised training modules.
To facilitate the process, a joint committee comprising representatives from both Tripura Police and RRU will be constituted. This body will oversee accreditation procedures and monitor the effective implementation of the partnership.
Officials stated that the affiliation will remain valid for a period of five years, with provisions for renewal or extension based on mutual agreement. The collaboration is expected to strengthen professional competencies within the force by integrating academic expertise with practical policing requirements.
