Saraibil Block Sub-Election Steering Committee Constituted

Gossaigaon: Keeping in view the ensuing Assam Assembly Election, 2026, and with an aim to further strengthen the organisational base of the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), the Saraibil Block Committee on Thursday constituted the Saraibil Block Sub-Election Steering Committee. The formation of the committee marks a significant step towards enhancing the party’s grassroots preparedness ahead of the elections. The newly formed Steering Committee was formally inaugurated in the presence of Mrityunjay Narzary, Executive Member (EM) of BTC Dept. of Transport, and Sobharam Basumatary, party candidate from No. 1 Gossaigaon LAC.

The programme was attended by the president and secretary of the Primary and Booth Committees, members of the Saraibil Block Committee, representatives of the Saraibil Block Committee, BPF Minority Cell, Gossaigaon District Committee, BPF and a large number of BPF workers. In his address after inaugurating the committee, Narzary stated that the primary objective behind forming the Election Steering Committee is to ensure unity among party workers and to strengthen coordination at all levels. He added that the committee would play a crucial role in addressing public grievances and facilitating access to developmental benefits under the BTC Government.

Expressing confidence in the party’s prospects, Narzary asserted that all necessary efforts are being undertaken to secure a decisive victory in the upcoming Assembly elections. He further urged party workers and supporters to remain united and work with dedication and sincerity to ensure the success of the party’s candidate. Appealing to the electorate, he called upon the people to actively participate in the democratic process and cast their valuable votes in favour of the party’s nominee. The meeting concluded with a strong resolve among party members to intensify campaign efforts and reach out to voters across the constituency in the days ahead.
