Pabitra Margherita Confident of NDA Victory in Assam Polls, Predicts Big Win in Nazira Seat

Guwahati, April 3: Union Minister of State Pabitra Margherita on April 2 expressed confidence that the BJP-led NDA will return to power in Assam for a third consecutive term, citing strong public support across the state.

Speaking in Sivasagar amid intensified election campaigning, Margherita refrained from projecting an overall seat tally but asserted that the alliance is poised for a decisive victory. He specifically highlighted the Nazira constituency, stating that NDA candidate Mayur Borgohain is expected to win by a margin of at least 30,000 votes.

Margherita said that voters in Nazira are likely to extend clear support to the NDA candidate, expressing confidence that the constituency will deliver a strong mandate in favour of the alliance. He added that similar trends are being witnessed across other constituencies, where, according to him, the BJP and its allies are receiving widespread backing from the electorate.

Reiterating the alliance’s electoral outlook, the minister said the NDA is well positioned to secure another term in government, as political parties continue to step up their outreach efforts ahead of the Assembly elections.
