Pema Khandu Campaigns in Assam, Backs NDA for Third Term Ahead of Polls

Itanagar, April 4: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on April 4 campaigned in Assam, expressing confidence that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will return to power for a third consecutive term in the state.

Addressing a gathering at Sonapur Higher Secondary School Playground, Khandu said the large turnout at the rally reflected growing public support for the alliance and indicated that voters are prepared to back the NDA once again in the upcoming elections.

He shared it with NDA candidate Basanta Das of the Asom Gana Parishad, who is contesting from the Nawboicha (SC) constituency, and stressed the importance of unity among alliance partners to ensure political stability and sustained development.

Highlighting regional ties, Khandu said the progress of Arunachal Pradesh is closely linked with that of Assam, acknowledging the contributions of the people of Assam to the neighbouring state’s growth. He reiterated his commitment to safeguarding their welfare and dignity, underscoring the longstanding relationship between the two states.
