Udalguri–Sonitpur, April 5: Assistant Commissioner Anshuman Hazarika was seriously injured in a road accident early Sunday morning near Ambagaon Chowk bridge in Udalguri.
According to reports, the incident occurred while he was travelling from Udalguri to Bhergaon when the vehicle allegedly lost control, crashed into the bridge railing and plunged down.
Hazarika sustained multiple injuries and was initially admitted to Udalguri Civil Hospital. He was later shifted to Guwahati for advanced medical care and is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Officials said his condition remains critical, and prayers have poured in from across the region for his speedy recovery.
