Boro highlighted that during the past five years, the UPPL has worked towards preserving the languages, traditions, and cultures of 26 communities in the Bodoland region. He also noted that the party is contesting the 2026 Assembly elections independently and is receiving enthusiastic support from all 15 constituencies of the region. Senior party leaders including Dipankar Rabha, Ganesh Nath, Narahari Mahanta, and Ringsar Boro were present at the event along with party workers.
Speaking to the media, Boro said the party is focusing on grassroots outreach by visiting villages and seeking blessings at religious places. “The support of the people is our greatest strength,” he said. He further asserted that despite some leaders joining the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), the UPPL continues to gain mass support, adding that elections are ultimately decided by the people.
