Gangtok, April 8: Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, arrived in Sikkim on April 8 for an official visit scheduled to continue until April 12. He is accompanied by his spouse, Cécil Mathou.
The ambassador was accorded a warm reception at the Rangpo Tourist Facilitation Centre (TIC) by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sujata Subba, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sameer Pradhan, District Tourism Officer Sushma Pradhan, along with other officials and staff.
During the visit, Mathou is expected to take part in a series of engagements aimed at promoting cultural exchange and strengthening bilateral ties between France and the region.
