Gangtok, April 21: Surya Kant is scheduled to visit Sikkim on May 1 and 2 to participate in a national conference on technology and judicial education, according to an official statement issued on April 20.
The conference will be held in Gangtok and is being organised by the High Court of Sikkim. Judges from the Supreme Court and several high courts are expected to attend, highlighting the significance of the event at the national level.
In preparation for the visit, a high-level coordination meeting was convened at the state secretariat under Chief Secretary R Telang. Officials reviewed arrangements related to security, transport, accommodation, protocol and venue readiness.
Authorities emphasised the need for close coordination among departments to ensure seamless logistics during the visit, given the presence of senior judicial dignitaries.
