Agartala, April 21: Manik Saha on Monday attended the consecration and Kumbhabhisheka ceremony of the statue of Ma Soundarya Chinmoyee at Mohanpur, in the presence of Mohan Bhagwat.
The 15-foot statue, carved from a single granite stone, has been installed at the premises of Chinmaya Mission School, marking a significant spiritual and cultural occasion in the region.
The site has been designed with 27 pillars inscribed with verses from Soundarya Lahari, along with teachings aimed at fostering spiritual reflection and a deeper understanding of philosophical traditions.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister expressed hope that the site would develop into a centre for spiritual, devotional and cultural engagement, while also contributing to the educational landscape of the state.
Officials noted that the initiative seeks to combine cultural heritage with educational and contemplative spaces, attracting visitors and promoting value-based learning.
