KL Rahul Nears Dhoni’s IPL Record Ahead of SRH Clash

Hyderabad: Delhi Capitals batter KL Rahul is on the verge of a major milestone in the Indian Premier League, needing just 50 runs to surpass MS Dhoni and become the sixth-highest run-scorer in the tournament’s history. Rahul will have the opportunity to achieve the feat when DC face Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad. The stylish opener heads into the contest with confidence after a match-winning half-century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Dhoni, a legend of Chennai Super Kings, has scored 5,439 runs in 278 matches, including 24 fifties. Rahul now stands just one strong innings away from overtaking the iconic wicketkeeper-batter.
