Sivasagar, April 28: The declaration of the Higher Secondary final examination results on April 28 saw Sivasagar district register an overall pass percentage of 89.27 per cent, reflecting a strong performance across streams.
The results were formally announced during a press briefing by Dr Samiron Bora. A total of 7,383 students appeared for the examinations in the district, including 5,489 candidates from the Arts stream, 1,400 from Science, and 494 from Commerce.
Out of the total candidates, 6,586 students successfully cleared the examinations. In stream-wise performance, 4,782 students passed in Arts, 1,363 in Science, and 441 in Commerce.
The Science stream recorded the highest pass percentage at 97.36 per cent, followed by Commerce at 89.27 per cent and Arts at 87.12 per cent. The district also achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in the Vocational stream.
Officials noted a slight decline in the Arts stream compared to previous years, although the overall performance in the district was described as satisfactory.
