Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Mazbat Secures Third Consecutive 100% Pass Rate in H.S. Examination

Udalguri-Sonitpur, April 30: The Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Mazbat, a government residential institution in Assam’s Udalguri district dedicated to educating dropout, orphaned and economically disadvantaged girls, has recorded a 100 per cent pass rate in the Higher Secondary examinations for the third consecutive year.

Established in 2018, the school currently caters to around 150 students from Classes VI to XII and has steadily emerged as one of the stronger-performing government schools in the region.

In the recently declared Higher Secondary results, all 16 students who appeared from the institution cleared the examination. Out of them, six students secured first division, while the remaining 10 passed in second division, reflecting sustained academic progress.

Among the first-division achievers are Antika Daimari, who scored 69.6 per cent, followed by Ringkhrangshree Daimari with 67.4 per cent, Soniti Baske with 62 per cent, Hirimba Boro with 61.80 per cent, Sangina Kachari with 61 per cent, and Marami Rabha with 61 per cent.

Students who secured second division include Polena Basumatary, Damnika Tudu, Nijoira Daimari, Babita Goyari, Suchila Karmakar, Phulumati Mahilari, Priya Karmakar, Phulumoni Hemrom and Martha Bhesrai, with scores ranging between 45.4 per cent and 59.2 per cent.

The school’s consistent performance has been attributed to the leadership of Warden-Superintendent Shanaz Siddique and Headmistress Rini Basumatary, along with the sustained efforts of teachers and staff members.

To mark the achievement, the successful students were felicitated with traditional gamosas by the teaching staff on April 29. The institution’s performance has also been appreciated by several organisations, including the Orang Journalists’ Association, Pub Udalguri Press Club, Udalguri District Conscious Citizens’ Committee, and members of the Bodoland Journalists’ Association.
