CJI Surya Kant Arrives in Sikkim for National Conclave on Technical and Judicial Education

Gangtok, May 1: Chief Justice of India Surya Kant arrived in Sikkim on Friday, May 1 to attend the National Conclave on Technical and Judicial Education, scheduled to be held over two days.

The Chief Justice is accompanied by judges of the Supreme Court of India, Chief Justices from several High Courts, and other senior dignitaries. Representatives from the Commonwealth Legal Education Association are also participating, indicating broad national and international engagement at the event.

Upon arrival at the Rangpo Tourist Facilitation Centre, Justice Surya Kant was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the Sikkim Police.

The visiting delegation was received by Meenakshi Madan Rai, along with senior judicial and administrative officials including Registrar General Karma Wangchuk Bhutia, Registrar Jyoti Kharka, Law Secretary Suraj Chettri, and Sikkim Legal Services Authority Member Secretary Samita Sharma.

Senior district and police officials, along with representatives from the Home, Tourism, and Legal Services departments, were also present to welcome the delegation.
