GUWAHATI, Mat 3: Ahead of the declaration of results for the 2026 Assembly elections in Assam, Congress leaders Gaurav Gogoi and Santanu Bora visited the Maa Bagala Temple to offer prayers on May 3.
Gogoi, who is contesting from Jorhat, and Bora, the party’s candidate from the New Guwahati constituency, sought blessings as political anticipation intensifies across the state ahead of counting day on May 4.
The visit drew the presence of party supporters and local Congress workers, who accompanied the leaders during the prayers. The leaders prayed for peace, prosperity and a favourable outcome as the state prepares for the announcement of election results.
