Manas Robin Urges: ‘Don’t Politicize Zubeen Garg’s Death’

Guwahati: Noted musician and composer Manas Robin on Tuesday urged people to refrain from politicizing the circumstances surrounding the death of singer-actor Zubeen Garg, saying that unnecessary controversies were diverting attention from the main issue.

“No one in Assam should politicize Zubeen Garg’s issue or divert from the main matter — who went to Shyamkanu Mahanta’s party is irrelevant,” Robin said while speaking to reporters.

He emphasized that such discussions only create division among Zubeen’s admirers and distract from the pursuit of truth and justice. Robin also criticized the tendency to target individuals for raising questions, saying that criticizing or penalizing someone for seeking accountability is unacceptable.

The remarks come amid growing public debate and speculation over the ongoing investigation into Zubeen Garg’s mysterious death in Singapore, as well as the alleged involvement of several individuals linked to the case.
