Pema Khandu Congratulates Suvendu Adhikari on Becoming West Bengal’s First BJP Chief Minister

Itanagar, May 9: Pema Khandu on Friday congratulated Suvendu Adhikari after he took oath as the first Bharatiya Janata Party Chief Minister of West Bengal since Independence.

Describing the development as a “historic moment” in the country’s political landscape, Khandu said the BJP forming government in West Bengal marked a major political transformation in the gateway to eastern and northeastern India.

The Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister also expressed gratitude to Narendra Modi and Amit Shah for what he termed their “visionary leadership and relentless efforts” in making the achievement possible.

Khandu further extended his best wishes to Adhikari for a successful tenure centred on development and good governance.

He also thanked the people of West Bengal for supporting what he described as a “transformative change” and expressed confidence that the new mandate would pave the way for accelerated development, prosperity and a brighter future for the state.
