Amingaon, May 30: A three-day training programme for District and Charge Census Officers, along with Clerical Assistants, is underway at the Bio-Tech Park in Amingaon to strengthen preparations for the House Listing and Housing Operations (HLO) phase of Census 2027.
Organised by the District Census Office, Kamrup, the programme is aimed at enhancing the capacity of census personnel and ensuring the efficient implementation of Census-related activities across the district.
During the training, participants are being provided detailed guidance on operational procedures, field-level responsibilities, data collection methods, enumeration protocols and the digital components associated with the HLO exercise. The sessions include technical presentations, practical demonstrations and interactive discussions to familiarise officials with the prescribed guidelines and procedures.
Officials said special emphasis is being placed on maintaining accuracy, uniformity and timely execution of Census activities at the field level.
The programme is being attended by Kamrup District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra, Additional Deputy Commissioners Bikram Chetri and Monika Borgohain, CDC Rangia Mridusmita Borah, CDC Boko-Chaygaon Priyangshu Bharadwaj, CDC Palashbari Bhaskar Jyoti Kalita, Circle Officers and other district administration officials.
The training programme will conclude on Saturday with additional sessions focusing on implementation strategies and practical aspects of House Listing and Housing Operations under Census 2027.
