The Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC) on Wednesday, June 3, distributed a range of livelihood and utility items among beneficiaries from different parts of its jurisdiction as part of an initiative aimed at promoting self-reliance and improving livelihoods.

The distribution programme was held at the council premises and was attended by beneficiaries from various areas under the Tiwa community. Council officials said the initiative is intended to support women, farmers and economically weaker sections by providing resources that can contribute to income generation and meet daily livelihood needs.

Items distributed included sewing machines, bicycles, tarpaulins, blankets, yarn and agricultural spray machines. The council stated that the effort is designed to strengthen grassroots livelihoods and encourage sustainable economic activity within the community.

Officials added that such initiatives will continue as part of broader welfare measures aimed at improving living standards and enhancing self-sufficiency among beneficiaries across the council area.
