Arunachal Pradesh Tourism and Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona on Wednesday, June 10, held a meeting with Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi to discuss ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening the tourism sector in the state.
MLA Mopi Mihu of Anini and the Advisor (Tourism) were also present during the meeting.
According to an official statement, the discussions focused on key priorities such as tourism infrastructure development, destination planning and efforts to position Arunachal Pradesh as a distinctive and sustainable tourism destination.
Sona also sought continued support and guidance from the Union Ministry of Tourism to harness the sector’s potential for generating livelihoods and promoting economic growth in the state.
The minister highlighted the importance of strengthening tourism infrastructure and expanding opportunities in the sector to further boost Arunachal Pradesh’s appeal among visitors.
Expressing appreciation after the meeting, Sona thanked Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat for his valuable insights and assurance of continued cooperation in advancing tourism development in Arunachal Pradesh, the statement added.
