Jogighopa Police Intensify Action Against Reckless Riders and Modified Motorcycles

Jogighopa Police in Assam’s Bongaigaon district have stepped up their drive against reckless bikers and illegally modified motorcycles as part of ongoing efforts to enhance road safety and reduce accidents.

During a recent operation conducted in the FCI area of Jogighopa, police intercepted a youth who was allegedly riding a modified motorcycle and causing excessive noise on the road.

The rider was detained and instructed to remove the unauthorised modifications from the vehicle. Under police supervision, the youth removed the altered accessories on the spot.

Police officials said action was initiated against the rider for violating vehicle modification regulations and creating a public nuisance through the use of modified exhaust systems and other unauthorised fittings.

According to Jogighopa Police, stringent measures are being taken against reckless riders and owners of illegally modified motorcycles to promote safer roads and curb noise pollution in the area.

Authorities said the enforcement drive against traffic violations and modified vehicles will continue in the coming days as part of efforts to ensure stricter compliance with road safety norms.
