Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Monday completed the submission of his enumeration form under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in his home district of Soreng and appealed to eligible residents across the state to take part in the process within the stipulated period.
The Chief Minister carried out the formalities in the presence of Block Level Supervisor Jas Bahadur Tamang and Booth Level Officers Semi Hang Limboo and Deepson Tamang.
Sharing the development on social media, Tamang stated that he had successfully submitted his SIR form with the assistance of election officials responsible for conducting the exercise in Soreng district.
Calling upon citizens to actively participate, the Chief Minister urged all eligible individuals involved in enrolment and verification to submit their forms on time. He emphasised that public cooperation is essential to maintaining accurate and updated electoral records.
“Participating in this process helps ensure that our records remain accurate and strengthens our democratic system,” Tamang said.
The Special Intensive Revision exercise is being undertaken to verify and update electoral rolls across the state. Election authorities have appealed to the public to cooperate with the process to facilitate the smooth and timely completion of the revision exercise throughout Sikkim.
