Bajali, June 24: A 40-year-old man from Dhumarpathar in Assam’s Bajali district reportedly went missing after travelling to Dambuk in Arunachal Pradesh in search of employment.
The missing person was identified as Madhu Boro. According to family members, he left home on May 17 and informed them that he was travelling to Dambuk for work. The family remained in contact with him after he reached Arunachal Pradesh, but communication was reportedly lost two days later.
Despite extensive efforts by his family, including his wife and daughter, no information about his whereabouts has been received for over a month.
A missing person complaint was lodged at the Dhumarpathar Police Outpost. However, family members said no significant breakthrough has been made in the investigation so far.
The family alleged that Boro had travelled to Dambuk through an individual identified as Gunjit Nath of Saudarbhitha in Baksa district. They have appealed to the police and the public for assistance in tracing him.
Further investigation is underway.
