Assam CM Sarma Attends 110th Foundation Day of Shree Marwari Databya Aushadhalaya in Guwahati

Guwahati, June 26: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday attended the 110th Foundation Day celebrations of Shree Marwari Databya Aushadhalaya in Guwahati, where he highlighted the Marwari community’s longstanding contribution to the state’s development.

During the event, the Chief Minister conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award on noted physician Dr. Nomal Chandra Borah, unveiled a commemorative souvenir, and felicitated doctors and healthcare professionals associated with Marwari Hospital for their dedicated service.

Sarma acknowledged the significant role played by the Marwari community, which has been settled in Assam for decades, in contributing to the state’s progress across various sectors, particularly in trade, commerce and healthcare.

He also appreciated the services of Marwari Hospital, established under the Marwari Charitable Dispensary, noting its 110-year-long legacy of providing quality healthcare to the people and its continued commitment to public welfare.
