Assam Youth Killed in Landslide While Working in Arunachal Pradesh’s Anjaw District

Anjaw (Arunachal Pradesh), June 29: A tragic landslide incident in Arunachal Pradesh’s Anjaw district claimed the life of a 35-year-old youth from Assam while he was on duty at a work site on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Rupam Rabha, a resident of Bongaon Burhigaon under Boko in Assam. He was working as a Poklen operator in the Walong area of Anjaw district when the mishap occurred.

According to reports, the incident took place around 8:30 pm on June 28 while Rabha was engaged in work at the site. A sudden landslide struck the area, burying the machine under debris and killing him on the spot.

The sudden death has cast a pall of gloom over his native village, where family members and residents are mourning the loss. Locals described him as a hardworking individual dedicated to his profession.

Rabha is survived by his wife and a four-year-old son, leaving behind a grieving family shattered by the untimely tragedy.
