Assam Minister Atul Bora Inspects Flood-Damaged Simen River Railway Bridge in Dhemaji

Assam Cabinet Minister and Dhemaji District Guardian Minister Atul Bora on July 1 visited the flood-affected railway bridge over the Simen River in Dhemaji district to assess the damage caused by incessant rainfall in neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh.

Heavy rainfall in the upstream areas led to flooding in Dhemaji, damaging the railway bridge and disrupting train operations in the region.

Sharing details of the visit on X, Bora said he inspected the site to review the prevailing situation and evaluate the extent of damage caused by the floods.

The inspection was attended by the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Dhemaji Zila Parishad, along with other district officials, who accompanied the minister during the assessment.

The visit comes as authorities continue to monitor the flood situation in Dhemaji and assess the impact of the heavy rainfall on public infrastructure and transportation connectivity across the district.
