Dirang MLA Phurpa Tsering Donates Seven Months’ Salary for Flood Relief in Arunachal’s Keyi Panyor

Dirang MLA and Advisor to the Public Works Department (PWD) Minister, Phurpa Tsering, popularly known as Awo Phurpa, has contributed his seven months’ salary, amounting to Rs 7.5 lakh, to support families affected by the recent floods and landslides in Arunachal Pradesh’s Keyi Panyor district.

Announcing the donation, the legislator said the state is going through a challenging phase and emphasised the importance of standing together to assist those who have suffered losses due to the natural calamity.

Phurpa Tsering also appealed to the people and leaders of Dirang to extend support to the flood-affected residents of Keyi Panyor, stressing that collective efforts and solidarity are essential during times of crisis.

The contribution comes as relief and rehabilitation operations continue in Keyi Panyor, one of the districts severely affected by the recent spell of heavy rainfall, flash floods and landslides across Arunachal Pradesh.
