Imphal, July 10: The Manipur Police, in a joint operation with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), arrested two persons allegedly involved in the killing of six Naga individuals at Leilon Vaiphei village on May 13, 2026.
According to the police, the operation was launched in the early hours of Friday based on credible intelligence inputs. Security forces conducted a targeted raid at Leilon Vaiphei village, leading to the apprehension of the two suspects.
The accused have been identified as Pradip, son of Tomba, and Ayingbi, wife of Pradip, both residents of Leilon Vaiphei village.
Police said search and seizure operations were carried out during the raid, and all necessary legal formalities are being completed.
The case relates to the killing of six Naga civilians in Leilon Vaiphei village on May 13. Authorities have not disclosed further details, stating that the investigation is continuing.
