Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein has instructed all government departments to ensure the timely and efficient implementation of key initiatives announced in the state’s 2026-27 Budget.
Reviewing the progress of budget proposals and ongoing projects during a meeting on Thursday, Mein, who also holds the finance portfolio, stressed the need to expedite flagship schemes, including the Chief Minister’s Rural Development Programme and the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Power Development Programme.
Sharing details of the review on social media, the deputy chief minister said priority should also be given to sectors such as education, healthcare, drinking water supply, physical connectivity and skill development to achieve balanced and inclusive growth across the state.
Mein directed departmental heads to revise implementation guidelines wherever necessary to improve project execution and asked them to promptly inform the government of any additional financial requirements.
The Arunachal Pradesh government had earlier unveiled a Rs 36,607-crore Budget for the 2026-27 financial year, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure development, governance reforms and people-centric initiatives.
