ASSEB Offers Free Duplicate Academic Certificates to Flood-Affected Students in Four Assam Districts

The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has announced a special relief initiative to provide duplicate academic documents free of charge to students whose original certificates were lost during the recent floods in Charaideo, Sivasagar, Jorhat and Golaghat districts.

In a notification, the board said the facility would cover duplicate Pass Certificates, Admit Cards, Marksheets and Registration Cards for candidates of the HSLC/AHM and Higher Secondary Final Examinations affected by the disaster.

Students requiring duplicate HSLC/AHM documents can submit their applications through the SEBA Services portal, while those seeking Higher Secondary records must apply online through the AHSEC portal.

To simplify the process for flood-affected students, ASSEB has also relaxed the documentation requirements by dispensing with the mandatory police report. Instead, applicants will only need to upload a self-declaration confirming that their academic documents were lost in the floods.

The board stated that the waiver of application fees is a one-time special relief measure intended to help affected students obtain replacement academic records without incurring any financial cost.
