Udalguri-Sonitpur, July 31: The Sarpabandhab Saurav Borkataki Team from Tezpur carried out a flood relief mission in Assam’s Sivasagar district, extending assistance to families affected by the recent floods as part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts.
During the visit, the team assessed the condition of flood-affected communities and distributed essential relief materials in the Bihubar area. The assistance included food items, medicines and livestock to support families coping with the aftermath of the disaster.
The relief programme was conducted in the presence of the team’s Chief Advisor Saurav Borkataki, General Secretary Sanjoy Baruah and other members. They interacted with residents and reviewed the challenges being faced by people in the flood-hit areas.
As part of the initiative, Sivasagar-based Sarpabandhu Balbir Singh, Prakriti Group Secretary Mochinur Rahman and Sarpabandhab Team advisor Tutumoni Kalita also visited several affected localities and distributed relief materials to residents.
The organisation said it remains committed to standing beside flood-affected communities and providing assistance within its capacity during the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.
