Assam Education Minister interacted with students from Nalbari and Udalguri districts during their educational visit to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati under the state government’s flagship Arohan 2026-27 programme.
The minister joined the students for breakfast and encouraged them to make the most of the exposure visit, while urging them to pursue academic excellence with dedication and focus.
Launched in 2022-23 under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Arohan seeks to nurture the academic potential of meritorious school students across Assam through educational tours, knowledge-sharing opportunities and mentorship.
A total of 233 students from Nalbari and Udalguri, accompanied by their mentors, are participating in the programme’s first group. The group is scheduled to complete its educational tour on August 12.
The Arohan 2026-27 programme will conclude on November 5, with 4,041 students and their mentors set to participate across 16 groups.
The initiative is being implemented under the supervision of Samagra Shiksha Assam to provide meritorious students with wider exposure, learning opportunities and motivation to excel in their academic pursuits.
