GUWAHATI, Aug 12: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Frontier Headquarters Guwahati and 1st Battalion SSB Sonapur will organise public band display programmes in Guwahati as part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations.
The first programme will be held at City Centre Mall, Christian Basti, on August 15 from 6 pm to 8 pm, while the second will take place at Sati Radhika Shanti Udyan (Brahmaputra Riverfront), Uzan Bazar, on August 16 during the same hours. Entry will be free for the public, with access to the riverfront venue through Gates 6 and 7.
SSB bands will perform patriotic and musical pieces to promote patriotism, national unity and national pride. The programmes will be held under the guidance of Inspector General Sudhir Verma and the supervision of 1st Battalion SSB Commandant Sunil Kaushik.
The SSB appealed to citizens, including youth and students, to participate in the programmes.
