NAGAON: A woman was allegedly stabbed by her husband following a domestic dispute at Dhing in Assam’s Nagaon district late on Thursday night.
The injured woman was identified as Dipika Das, a resident of No. 2 Biltia in Dhing. She sustained serious injuries and was shifted to Nagaon for medical treatment. She is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
According to preliminary information, Dipika was allegedly attacked from behind with a knife by her husband, Nabin Das, following an argument over food. The dispute reportedly occurred after Nabin bought meat and Dipika did not cook it.
Police detained Nabin Das and launched an investigation into the incident. The exact circumstances leading to the alleged attack are yet to be established.
