GUWAHATI, Aug 21: Eight-year-old Assam karate athlete Pradyuman Nath won two gold medals in the Kata and Kumite categories at the 10th International Karate Championship 2026 held at Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata on August 2.
Representing the Assam Dhammika Kai Shito-Ryu Karate Association (ADSKA), Pradyuman secured the gold medals in both events, showcasing his skills at the international-level competition.
Pradyuman is the son of Sohini Deb Nath and Pulak Nath. He trained under Sensei Nilomoni Deka, who guided him during his preparation for the championship.
His double-gold achievement marked a notable accomplishment for the young athlete and brought recognition to Assam’s emerging karate talent.
