Guwahati: A young cab driver was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Guwahati’s Chandmari area raising concerns over a suspected roadside attack. The deceased has been identified as Rahul Das, a resident of Kampur in Nagaon district. Das was reportedly working as a cab driver in Guwahati to earn his livelihood. According to reports, his body was recovered near Nijarapara Red Cross Hospital in Chandmari late Thursday night. Preliminary information suggests that Das may have been attacked on the roadside before succumbing to his injuries. However, the exact circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.

Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and began an investigation.
