MSME Credit-Readiness Workshop Held for Women Entrepreneurs in Dhekiajuli

Udalguri-Sonitpur, Aug 25: Intellique Research School and Asia Pacific Consulting & Advisory (APCA), in collaboration with the District Industries Centre (DIC), Sonitpur, organised an MSME Credit-Readiness Capacity-Building Workshop in Dhekiajuli on August 25.

Supported by The Asia Foundation, the workshop brought together more than 100 women-led MSMEs from various sectors to provide practical guidance on accessing formal finance and strengthening business preparedness.

The programme covered formal finance, loans, subsidies, guarantees and grants, loan documentation, bookkeeping, credit behaviour, CIBIL, responsible borrowing and engagement with banks and financial institutions.

Participants were also briefed on the importance of Udyam registration, PAN, GST and ITR records where applicable, bank statements, sales and expense records, repayment plans and maintaining separate household and business finances.

The workshop also covered financing options and institutional pathways, including MUDRA, PMEGP, CGTMSE-backed loans, NEDFi-linked products, SIDBI interventions, small finance banks and NBFC/MFI options.

Sohom Banerjee of Intellique Research School said access to MSME finance was not only about the availability of loan products but also about helping entrepreneurs become bankable through proper documentation, financial records and repayment evidence.

Following the response in Dhekiajuli, Intellique Research School plans to expand similar credit-readiness and capacity-building initiatives across Assam and the wider Northeast.
