GUWAHATI: Railway Police at Chaparmukh seized a bag containing a substantial quantity of suspected cannabis from the down Silchar-Rangiya Express during an operation.
Police recovered the bag from underneath a passenger seat during the operation. The suspected transporter allegedly fled after sensing the presence of the railway police.
No arrest has been reported so far. Further investigation is underway to identify the person involved in the attempted transportation of the contraband.
