Tripura Gramin Bank Chairman Attends High-Level Review Meeting on SHG-Bank Linkage in Mumbai

Tripura Gramin Bank Chairman Satyendra Singh participated in a high-level review meeting on SHG-Bank Linkage and Individual Enterprise Financing in Mumbai on September 3.

The meeting brought together senior representatives from public sector banks, regional rural banks, private sector banks and cooperative banks, along with officials from the Department of Financial Services, NITI Aayog, RBI, NABARD and PFRDA.

The valedictory and keynote address was delivered by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Singh was among the chairpersons of 11 Regional Rural Banks who participated in the bank-wise review. Discussions focused on rural financial inclusion, including DAY-NRLM, Financial Inclusion 2.0, SHG-bank linkage, women-led enterprises, BC Sakhi, financial literacy and strengthening rural credit delivery.

Senior government representatives, including Rural Development Secretary Rohit Kansal, as well as Union and Maharashtra ministers and other officials, also attended the meeting.

Tripura Gramin Bank said the participation reflected its focus on rural financial inclusion, women’s empowerment, SHG financing and inclusive economic growth.
