Assam Police SIT to Meet Singapore Authorities Today in Ongoing Probe into Zubeen Garg’s Death

Guwahati: A two-member Assam Police investigative team is set to meet officials from the Singapore Police today (October 21) as part of the continuing probe into the death of Assamese music icon Zubeen Garg.

The team, led by SIT chief Munna Prasad Gupta and accompanied by police officer Arun Goel, will review the progress of the investigation and exchange insights with Singapore authorities.

Key discussions are expected to centre on critical details, including information related to the hotel where Zubeen Garg was staying at the time of his death. Both teams will also deliberate on strategies to strengthen coordination between the Assam and Singapore police for the smooth continuation of the investigation.

Additionally, the SIT team will record the statement of expatriate Assamese Wajed Ahmed. While several Assamese nationals who were present during the incident have already provided their statements in Assam, Ahmed has not yet returned to India to offer his testimony.
